Keynote Speakers:

Alicia Cotabish, Ed.D. will elevate learning in science to higher levels of passion, proficiency and creativity. Assistant Professor Cotabish is an author of Using the Next Generation Science Standards with Gifted and Advanced Learners and A Teachers Guide to Using the Next Generation Science Standards with Gifted and Advanced Learners. Her presentation will provide strategies to implement the standards for advanced learners at all stages of development fostering rigor, relevance, and creative, innovative opportunities for gifted students.

Ann Lupkowski-Shoplik, Ph.D., Beliken Center for Gifted Education, is an author of A Nation Empowered: Evidence Trumps the Excuses Holding Back America’s Brightest Students. The purpose of her book is to inform educators of current research on acceleration and how educators can use the findings to make decisions for their brightest students.
