The long-awaited rule change for identification of gifted students in New Mexico is now live on the PED website for public comment. Please take a moment to review the rule and give feedback to the PED to support best practices for Gifted students in NM. It is our hope that this rule change will allow for a more accurate identification of Gifted children in our state with consideration for equity, cultural factors, and local norms.
Public comments will be accepted until 5pm, July 6, 2023.
