NMAG Position Statements
One of the primary missions of the New Mexico Association for the Gifted is to advocate for gifted children by proposing new legislature and using our voice in New Mexico on important issues related to Gifted Education. Below are three position statements relating to the new Gifted Endorsement, providing appropriate services to gifted students, and successfully grouping gifted students.

2011 Position Statement and FAPE Letter
The 2011 NMAG position statement addresses a concern regarding FAPE and how it applies to gifted students in New Mexico. A copy of the 2011 position statement is provided below, as is the letter with which it was sent to Secretary of Education, Hanna Skandera.
